The farm named after his Anny's great grandfather's estate: Loma La Gloria (Hill of the Glory). A beautiful place where he spent several summer breaks with his cousins running, climbing trees and playing.
Roberto – A civil engineer and visionary business man – built a mill in the farm around the year 2001. Sadly; it was left abandoned once he finished building it and he continued growing coffee and selling to local coffee mills.
In 2012, Anny Ruth came on board to start running the abandoned coffee mill. Quality improved immensely! Soon after Annie began exporting the coffee herself.
Anny started the journey with little knowledge about growing coffee but had a profound passion for coffee. She soon quit her day job in marketing and started working for Dad in the farm. She learned about processes for growing and milling coffee. It didn’t take her too long to start seeing Microlots be shipped to several international markets and to see Loma La Gloria written on the offerings boards of specialty coffee shops around the world.
"I feel so blessed and fortunate of be doing what I love and loving what I do."
"The shiny sunrays, rain and soft winds pass through the canopies of the shade- trees; helping us to maintain a nice cool micro- climate to produce a very sweet, special and distinct cup profile."
